Hi List
I am listing this for a friend who is not a MV collector and wants to sell.
From an estate of a collector is an original unrestored M38A1. Looks OK and
very complete as it is but I would go through it with a new cosmetic resto
including a nice new paint job. It has no rust problems that I could see
when I looked at it yesterday. Everything incluiding the floor footwells
and battery box area is all solid and original. No rot patches. Always
stored indoors. She has 2 new batteries and starts and runs well. Engine
sounds good. Drives and stops well. Painted original OD SG green with
white markings. Has a full original top, canvas that still looks solid with
side curtains also. Windshield glass good. Has complete original RT GRC-68
Radio install including evrything involved with that, mounts, radios, cables
etc and proper M38A1 antenna mounted at the rear left corner. I did not try
out the radio but it looks like it should work. It also has 5 good tires.
The four on the ground look new or recent last couple of years. Also inside
I noticed that it has the Army Arctic gasoline heater unit installed with
control box on the dash and wiring cables etc. This vehicle was displayed
at several shows the last few years including RI Quonset and the Webster
show. It could be displayed Motor Pool now or if it got new paint it could
be a winner. It has a clear title now in the name of the seller and is
ready to be transferred to a buyer on a title transfer with no problems. He
is looking for 6500.00 for it all and I think may talk further. If anyone
wants to be put in touch with him let me know off list. He is a nice guy to
deal with also. It is located south of Boston MA. He was talking Ebay but
I told him to hold off and let me post it to the MV and MTA lists first.

Regards
