TJ,as a DOT inspector i can see your reason to be upset over what a group of
people say with a whole 48 states of drivers telling tales of whoa, But i
will say not in anyway to disrespect you, But i have the opinion that the DOT
and Police in general are out for tickets first and justice to a free mans
rights on the road to be treated with kindness and respect definitely a far out
second, i understand the reasons, but a professional should simply be above
that, I have enough experience in 30 years on the road with small business
trucks at about 60,000 miles a year, to know that there was a time that Most
Police gave a brake to locals, and a big problem is the age of the officers,
they are simply way to young to wield such authority over another, we all know
its true the ticket numbers drop when a policeman gets older, are there less
people doing wrong or is that person just growing up and realizing everybody
is not a bad guy.
Many of the stories you see are true all Cops do NOT treat the law the same,
Safety first can come at a ridiculous price at my opinion, to be a FREE man
means we have the chance to make a mistake without the ticket first action
that is present today. The people and collectors carrying there own wares are
NOT subject to the same rules as a business and should not be, Yes they do
deserve a brake. they are hard working Americans driving down the road, the far
majority do not want to brake the law, but there are to many times we make
mistakes, and on today's roads we get crucified first and sent along, that's
sadly the way it is, I do hope you are a fair man your job reach's deep in to
the households of the working man, a man that deserves a brake, Randy out
