Re: the sandblasting - you've got two issues here. One is keeping the
compressor head itself cool - they need airflow around them, for sure. What
I think you're referring to is getting the compressed air cooled down so
it'll drop as much of the water load as possible.

Best home brew way I know of is get BIP, and connect it with 90's so you
have multiple S turns in it, and mount this to a wall or other vertical
surface. Ideally you'll also "spread" the pipe ends apart a few degrees so
any water trapped will flow down to the vertical water trap section that
you've also set up, which has a manual bleed valve on it. I'm not even
going to try to do some ASCII artwork with this one, but you could probably
find this on the net.

Even having a long run of black iron pipe a few degrees off horizontal
helps - pressure in on the low end, and pressure out on the elevated end.
