I have a 1947 VW built while the REME were in charge of the VW factory after WW2. It was delivered to the US Army Exchange Service, Frankfurt on 4.Dec.47. It is listed by the factory as being "grey". I have decided to paint it RAL 7021 Panzergrau since I have not found a
specific color code for the "dark grey" used to paint the cars made for use by the US Army.

I have had a 25hp SAE(30ps DIN) engine rebuilt to long block and hope to have it installed soon.

I also have a two VW convertibles that I would like to find a steering wheels and fender skirts for. I am looking for a fancier steering wheel than what came with the cars. Accssory or something originally out of Porsche cars with 2 or 3 sets of chrome bars between the center and rim, preferably.

thanks,
Mike
