The Military Transport Association Inc's Swapmeet Committee is pleased to
announce that our Spring show in New Jersey will be held on April 8th and
9th. Please reserve this date.
It will be held at the Riverdale Armory, which is a couple hundred feet from
the intersection of I 287 and State Route 23. The site has ample outdoor
parking, and indoor or outdoor vendor space.
This year, the MTA is running this event as a public service to the Military
vehicle hobby, and without any profit motive. Our mission is to promote and
advance the hobby, and that is what the club voted to do last night.
Admission and parking will be FREE to the public, so we will be guaranteed
to have a huge crowd or tire kickers and the curious public, in addition to
us hard core types. We intend to have a great time showing off our vehicles
to the public, and buying what we need from the vendors. You will want to
be there.
So the cost of the show will be borne by the commercial vendors, who will
rent space at the show. And financially, if the club breaks even, we will
be happy. Vendors will be contacted shortly to reserve tables and outdoor
spaces. The prices will be the same as last year, even though we are not
charging admission.
Information will be posted and updated on the show web site,
www.mtaswapmeet.us as it becomes available. And we will post updates to the
list as the date nears. We are currently surveying the armory and grounds
and laying out table locations and spaces. Vendors will be contacted
shortly to reserve tables and outdoor spaces. The prices will be the same
as last year, even though we are not charging admission.
