I need to get rid of some old toys to afford some new ones! :-)

I have a working AN/VVS-2(V)1A second-generation driver's night vision
periscope for sale or trade. If I'm not mistaken, this type of night
vision equipment could be installed in the driver's hatch of various US
armored vehicles including the M48 and M60 tanks, and also the M113A3
APC with an appropriate adapter. It can be powered either from an
external source or by an internal BA-5567/U lithium battery.

This isn't an infrared scope that requires an IR spotlight... it's a
real 2nd-gen image intensifier which works by moonlight or starlight.
The viewing lens/screen is about 3 inches in diameter, and the user
views it from several inches away like a small TV screen.

This unit has a manual brightness control. The tube has some small
blemishes and one burn, but in my opinion it is very usable and provides
a much better image than any first-generation equipment I've used
(including my US-made AN/PVS-2 scope, which is itself a lot better than
the cheap and common imported Russian NV scopes).

I'm asking for $500 for it, or an interesting trade. U.S. sales only,
due to our silly import/export restrictions on anything remotely fun.
