We actually found one in a Scottish city in 1994.
Strangely it was about twice the size of the one
on Dr Who ie 4 times the floor area. It gave
the appearance of being a relic, as I suspect 2-way
radios and mobile phones have now rendered "Police
Call Boxes" obsolete.

Thus they are now something out of the past and thus would
be quite collectable, but.........

Nobody has ever told me, nor did they ever mention on
Dr Who that "Police Call Boxes" are constructed out of
CONCRETE!!! So, a bit hard to drag one home and doubtless
the reason this one is still right where it is.

Which does make you wonder if they also had another
"dual use" - so to speak - purpose? eg Pillboxes for
military use?

Nigel?

Doug
