What I thought was interesting was the series on wonder weapons that went
back to medieval times and before.
How about a Roman machine gun? Yep, they had one that fired arrows that
worked like a cross bow with two cranking handles...looked weird, but
effective.

On a more modern note, good thing WWII Germany didn't have another year to
develop its wonder weapons. And it's a very good thing they didn't have
about 100 more U-boats at the start of the war! The outcome might have been
a whole lot different. The more I learn about WWII Germany, the more
impressed I am with what they developed with very limit resources.
