That is a strange place to leak from, up top there, since the oil is mostly
down lower in the unit. Perhaps either the seal is very very bad, or the
little vent on the axle tube is clogged up and the pressure's forcing some
oil out?

TM 9-2320-361-34 shows the repair of the axles.
