Sometimes I notice that the brake pedal has alot of travel before 'hitting

the brakes' when the truck's running gear is cold. After run a while down
the hiway, the pedal does not travel as far before 'hitting' the brakes,
even though the brakes have not been used since I pulled away from the
starting point. No problems stopping, DOT5 fluid, but this is odd, anyone
know what it might be?
