Attached to the underside of the hood of my '61 M38A1 is an L-shaped bracket at the left rear corner, and a strap-equipped
U-shaped bracket almost dead center in the middle of the hood. Anybody got a clue what these brackets are for? Could these
brackets be a shovel mount? None of my manuals show the brackets, nor mention a shovel.
