i. Can anyone help me find information on the Jeep M606? It was the
>military version of the CJ3B, which was produced from 1952 to perhaps 1968.
>It is recognizable by its flat fenders and high hood.

>It wasn't used in Canada, and doesn't seem to have been too common in the
>U.S. military. I have been told the Navy used them, and there is one (or
>perhaps a CJ3B) painted as Army in the movie Good Morning, Vietnam (see my
>web page www.film.queensu.ca/CJ3B/Movies.html). Was the M606 actually used
>in Vietnam? When and where else was it used by U.S.forces?

>Any other information on production numbers or what other countries bought
>them also welcome. Thanks.

The CJ3B model was very popular in the pacific, and both India and
Japan built military versions of CJ3B (or at least very similar)
on licence from Willys.
