CJ-2A Questions

I have been keeping up with the discussion about the differences between a
MB and a CJ-2A, and I have a question some of you may be able to answer.

I have a 1946 CJ-2A, S/N 11792. It looks like any other CJ-2 with two
exceptions.

1) On the drivers side are two indentations exactly like those on an MB
that are for the axe and shovel handles. There are no footman's loops or
holes for them, and there is no gaurd for the axe blade.

2) The parking lights look like the MB blackout lights, except the cats
eye lenses and metal cover have been replaced with a round piece of frosted
glass.

Except for these two differences it looks like any other CJ-2. It has a
tail gate, no glove box, and the gass tank fill is mounted outside on the
drivers side.

If anyone can tell me about the vehicle I sure would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.
