I went wndering around in a salvage yard yesterday and found some goodies.
There was a bunch of M211's and M235's. also an M35 series tuck cut off
behind the cab with the rear part missing and an M35 series telephone
service pole setter truck. ( I am threatening to grab that last one as the
jib poles are still there and a traveling chain hoist has been installed,
should be a great yard truck for working around other trucks)Also found were
4-5 M37's with sound bodies and a WWII Dodge 6X6 with body missing from
behind the driver seat back, otherwise looks complete. Also found was a 1943
ford bomb service truck (4X4, dual rear wheels, snubby nose, open cab)mising
the body behind the driver's seat. There was also a large American La France
fire truck, 6X6, extra engine in rear to run pumps, soft top cab with
homemade hard top welded on. A CCKW and a WWII Chevy 4X4
1/12 ton closed cab truck.
Now for a couple questions. What might be a fair price for the Dodge 6X6?
How much for the Ford bomb service truck? The engines are stuck on both.
