Hi David--

Robert Stahl, dba Veteran Vehicles in Walpole MA , has the gears; he and
his mechanic/partner Al also install them. Stahl also sells M37s, has some
parts trucks on hand, and Al has (or had) an Isuzu (turbo?)diesel powered
M37. I don't have phone # handy, but he has advertised in MV magazines--
I'll check my files at home.
Another alternative for bringing the rpm down might be going to a 700R4
tranny w/ its
~.75 overdrive. This would let you cruise easily but still have the low
gearing offroad.
I know the R4 is longer than the TH350, so the total $$$ might be no less
than the gear
change after potential fabrication/driveshaft modifications, but then again
that TH350
should be worth some $$$ to someone, which would help offset the cost of the
tranny swap.

Richards Auto Sales in Ayer MA, on the main road heading out of town
toward
Devens, is an interesting local source of M37 parts trucks. Good luck.
