6X6

I'm in the process of buying a 6X6. The man I'm buying it from
thinks it is a GMC. The engine is cast with Rio on the intake manifold.
I'm assuming that it is a Rio. The hood has the double drop on each side,
and not as round as the GMC's. Can anyone possible give me more
information on what to look for in identifying the truck. It is supposed to
be around a 56 to 58, has a 5 speed manual transmission with a 6 cylinder.
Any idea what CID? It has air brakes and I'm assuming that it is the same
as newer trucks, no air brakes locked. How do I get them free in order to
move the truck? It hasn't been run in around 10 years so it needs some
checking (work) that I can't really do until I get it home, 100 miles away.
Is there anything else that I should know before I move the truck and
haul it home?
Thanks for the help!
