I think the information probably was kept, but may not be able to be located
today. Remember the last scene in "Raiders of the Lost Ark" with the endless
government warehouse?
Has anyone made an "official" inquiry to the Military History people at DoD?
Or Army Tank and Automotive Command which took over production at some point?
Or Chrysler in Toledo where the old Willys plant still stands? Or the National
Archives?
Since the jeep was recognized as one of the decisive factor in winning WWII,
perhaps the records did get some attention.
Hope someone can follow up or can let us know if this has already been done.
