I have noted Colin Brookes reply, I can ad that in Australian use the
fluid
flywheel was filled with "BP Aero Hydraulic #2", this is from memory, I
can
double check if you want me to.

I know that Colin will disagree with me here, but the Ferret is
notorious
for leaking oil from the hubs and angle boxes (in Australia) and since
temperatures in your country can be as extreme as ours I expect you will
see the same problem. The only solution I know of is to pull the
suspension
to bits and renew the seals - and that is the last thing I will be doing
as I have no workshop manual and as everyone tells me it is a nightmare
job. So the drip trays are probably going to reside under my vehicle for
a while longer yet. It is just one of those ideosyncrasies.

But, what the heck, it is still a nice vehicle to drive (or so you will
discover whilst you try and remember all the procedures and warnings
that
the rest of us have brow beat you with). Lets face it, as a "poor man's"
tank there is little else to substitute for a Ferret.
