Steve;
Thanks for the fiberglass cab info. I have called most of the surplus dealers
in the U.S. regarding metal cabs and none had ever had a government issue cab
and only Memphis Equipment was making metal cabs. I know of that very nice
fiberglass cabs were made by Wittenburg Motors of Midway, WA in the early
mid-1970's (Wittenburg is out of business but used to sell 100's of surplus
vehicles all over the U.S.) and Hafers Truck Parts in Salt Lake City. Hafers
will make one up but the cost is about $500 ea! I have seen several
"home-made" metal cabs on M-715's but they have all looked pretty bad. Anyone
out there ever make a metal cab for their M-715? The government issue cab,
shown in TM9-2320-244-20 (PG 141-143) does'nt look too complicated, but I
have no idea what gauge metal was used, etc.. Any ideas?
