M-715 Engine Swap

Hi All!

I recently obtained a 1967 Kaiser M-715 Cargo Truck (U.S. Navy). The
previous owner had exchanged the original power plant (230 CID) for a GM 350
CID.

What I want to do is pull the 350 and put the original back in. I know most
people are saying "Why would he want to do that?" My answer is that the
original engine is sealed against moisture (i.e. floods), and where I live
(Texas Gulf Coast), we are coming into hurricane season, and expecting a bad
season (i.e. many storms, rain, etc.)

My ultimate goal is to have several M-715's. All would be equipped with
fording gear, and all would be used for disaster relief (if necessary). This
benefits our association in the eyes of the powers that be.

If anyone has any ideas on how to perform this conversion, and where I can
get M-715 Fording gear, please let me know.

Sincerely,
Robert Ratliff
