6.2L GM Diesels?

Got a question for y'all. The local DRMO has a couple of GM6.2 Diesels,
relatively new-looking (in ship containers), coming up for auction. (I
haven't seem them myself).

I would consider one for an M715 if anyone can answer the following:

1/ Should it have the std chev. bellhousing pattern? This is so I
could use a Novak adapter plate.

2/ Could the Diesel make the required RPM's, and have any power left
(and last more than 100 miles)?. The M715 has 5.87/5.88 axles, running
a tire about 34" tall, so I guess 3400 to 3600 RPM at 60?

3/ How close is it in size to the 350V8? Roughly the same? Same
motormounts?

4/ Is a computer required? Can it be bypassed?

DP... (never had a Diesel, do I want one?)
