A two-part question:
1. Which model of the M880 series of Dodge p.u.'s had
the suspension upgrades to handle the commo shelter?
He has several different versions to choose from, no
manual handy, and the present owner is as clueless
as they come. (Well, maybe this means he'll get a good
price! ;->)
2. He needs a source for the commo shelter that slid into
the bed, and tied down. I know about the S-250 (right
designation?) that was fitted to the Hummer, but I never
dealt with commo Dodges). I *THINK* that he's planning
to outfit his own commo vehicle (he sure has the HAM
license certs!). So structural integrity is a must, though
it's paintjob isn't a worry. Internal racks would be nice,
but I don't think that this is an absolute must either,
though it would be a definite selling point.
We're on the East Coast (VA), so something close-by
would be wanted. He'll travel, I know, but it'd have to be a
good deal. Anyway, regardless of where you're at in the
U.S., drop me a line, and I'll bounce it off him. (He has
the time, so it's hard to tell just how far he'd be willing
