M22 Locust Hulls

"Surfing the Net" at work earlier this morning, I decided
to check out Dave Uhrig's webpage. He still has the two
Shermans for sale (I still haven't had the time to go look at
them yet), and a few new items listed. (There are better
pictures of the Shermans now. The restored M4A3 looks
really nice. The rough but restorable M4A1 is...different.
I'd like to know what the previous owner was inhaling
(besides paint fumes) when he painted that one!!)

Two of the items were two M22 "Locust" hulls. This is
the (very)light tank that the airborne troops could transport
in their gliders. Both are touted as restorable, and he is
asking $15,000 for both, but neither has a turret. I might be
interested in them, but trying to find one turret, let alone two,
would be a total b**ch!! You could definitely claim to have
something that isn't commonplace, that's for sure. (They
are supposed to be here in VA - since I have a four day
break from work coming up, I'm going to e-mail him, and
see where they are at. Maybe I can go look at them.)
Has anyone ever seen one at a show, or ever even
*heard* of one, or turrets, being for sale? (I'm asking since
I'm relatively new to the hobby.)
