Dear Shon:

Thanks for your constructive response re: MVPA. You are right: we ALL have to
be together on this.

Hope you succeed in finding the unit markings for your grandfather's AAC
service. By conincidence my father was in the Air Corps in 1945-46 and was
stationed in Amarillo.

Best,
chuck

Hey Gang,

I am one who vowed not to go to any events sponsored by the MVPA due to my
outrage over the handling of the Hummer/151/goat issue. I am not saying I
wish to terminate my affiliation with the MVPA, after thinking about it,
maybe my response was a little quick. Let's see what the MVPA does with
this issue. Remember we are all in this for the love of vintage military
equipment, WE ALL need to stand together and ride this thing through, if we
don't act as an organization then what good are we. Let's ALL ride this
out TOGETHER and see what happens.

NOW THIS:

My Grandfather was a crew chief on a C-46 and C-47 during WWII. He was in
the 9th Troop Squadron under the 20th Army Air Corps. I am thinking about
restoring the markings on one of my Command Cars to show this unit out of
honor to him. Does any one know where I might find this information on
what to put on it. I realize that Command Cars probably were not used in
the ARMY AIR CORP but I thought it might be nice to try.

Please help if you have any info on this subject.
Thanks
