The last two M37s I bought came from local fire deptments with Titles and
Bill of Sale, I did not have any problem and certianly don't expect one. I
live in Maryland and haven't had too many problems except with sales tax. Last
year I bought a 1991 Roll Back from the Non-appropriated Fund governemnt side.
These are the people who run the PX, commissary etc. The vehcile was originally
bought for their automotive shop but then they could not use it for some reason.
To cut to the chase, the title they gave us was from the dealer to them, they
just endorsed it. I did not think it would fly, and MD MVA would only
accpet it if I paiod the original purchase price sales tax plus my sale. Total
sales tax due was a whopping $1,900. Needless to say it took several months
before they got DRMO involved to give us a form 97. MD MVA was happy with the
form 97 and we got a title in about 10 days. Next time I will ask to see what
kind of title I am getting.
