Hi everyone,

I found a truck on a farm near here today that has me a little intrigued.
It is a highly modified Ford CMP (Canadian Military Pattern) F60L.
Originally, it was one of the early "monkey face" trucks.

What is interesting is that it has a plaque on the dash which says"
ARMOURED CAR. LIGHT SERIAL NO. 77641" According to the farmer who owns it,
this was a type of armoured personnel carrier built onto these trucks. All
traces of any sort of armour plate have now been removed and it has a rough
sort of cab and guards attached to it, all very obviously made by some
farmer at some time.

Does anyone know anything about these Armoured Cars????? I have never
heard of them and don't recall ever seeing a pic of one either. Have I
stumbled upon something rare or are they fairly common???? Any help would
be greatly appreciated. Incidentally, the original truck serial number is
5001 and it is fitted with engine number 20414917.

Thanks in advance

Cheers
