I will soon be putting the tub back on my M38A1. When looking through the
ordanance books I can find the frame mounts but it appears that they do not
show
how to place the body on these mounts. When I bought my Jeep the person that
had it before me had the tub held on by two bolt going through the back of the
tub into the crossmember at the rear of the jeep by the large square plate
that I have been told is for a gun mount. I do not want to place the body on
wrong.
Does anyone know of what book will tell me how to mount the body? OR has
someone done this before.
Also is there supposed to be a space between the metal that attaches to the
frame and the metal the makes up the floor for the passengers side storage
compartment? It looks like mine had new metal put in but I do not know if it
was done correctly.
