Years ago I had an International T-20 crawler with a 4 cy, gasoline & Kerosene
engine. They had a gasoline & alcohol version too. From what i remember, the
engine was started on gasoline because it was easier then switched over to kero
or alcohol. The alcohol had less BTU's per unit volume as I racall and so used
more for less power output. There is also the hose deterioration problem

Hope this helps
