I recently purchased an International R-185-A road tractor that I plan
to restore. In reading a book I recently purchased about International
trucks I noticed that the military was one of IH biggest customers
during the 50s. While working on my truck I noticed that it has been
repainted at some time and around some of the poorly masked areas of
the paint I see what looks like army green paint. Can someone tell me
if these particular trucks were used by the military and if there is a
way that I can determine if my truck was a military vehicle.
