Dear Mr. Braga;

I'm forwarding this message to you because I believe you need to be made
aware of the situation regarding American Military Surplus which is
apparently doing business on IPSNET.

A number of serious complaints about the business have been lodged on
the MIL-VEH List including non-delivery of merchandise, a refusal to
refund purchase money, and - now - refusals to answer the phone, fax, or
E-mail messages.

MVPA.ORG was brought into this situation because a member wrongly
believed he accessed a link to AMMIL through MVPA Online
(http://www.mvpa.org) - http://www.ammil.com has never been listed on
MVPA Online - and he brought their business practices to our attention.

We investigate every complaint by a member of our organization and try
to reach a solution agreeable to all parties.

As Administrative Contact for AMMIL.COM I think you need to be aware of
this situation and take appropriate action. Please let me know how you
intend to address this problem.

Thank you for your time and attention to this important matter.

Sincerely,

Jerry Cleveland

In a message dated 97-04-29 09:02:37 EDT, you write:

<< You gave us some bad information in your first letter - American Military Surplus is a different company from American Military Surplus Sales - and we can't help you unless you give us full, accurate information. >>

Jerry,

I'm not sure I gave you bad information. Reading from the mailing list, they are apparently d.b.a. "American Military", " Am Military Surplus" and "Am Military Surplus Sales."

I placed my order with Kathy on 2/10/97 for delivery of M100 (s/n T-100-114) trailer in four weeks. I confirmed anticipated delivery on 3/5 with Les Kaltenecker. On 3/10 I called concerning delivery and told it was postoned until 3/27. Since that time, E-mails and phone calls have gone unreturned.

The E-mail address is sales@ammil.com. Telephone # is 407 696 8006. I THINK the address is 7611 South Orange Blossom Trail Orlando, Florida Their web page is www.ammil.com. Of interest, the icon to activate that gives the mailing address can no longer be activated.

>From the MV mailing list, there are 5 of us who were taken by the scam. All are reversing charges via their credit cards.

Thanks for your help.
