Hi Rob two varieties of DUKW trailer known to exist, neither made in
any quantity.

1. 2-(DUKW) wheel Gar Wood manufacture with steel frame covered in
marine ply, cargo area similar to DUKW with same cover / hood frame,
some sort of technical tow bar, possibly with quick release (shear pin
pulled by winch in emergency?) possibly prototypes only but much
photographed, usually behind early DUKWs with vertical screen. Looks
nice and could be reproduced if you were really keen.

2. 2-wheel Cleaver-Brooks manufacture, "Duckling", possibly in early
and late variants looking like a stylled box on wheels (they did make
refrigerators) There is a photo somewhere showing one with a full
metal lid and hatches, bit like an industrial washer / drier on its
back. There is a surviving example somewhere in the great lakes area,
ask Hank La Barbara.

For info and photographs get hold of a copy of "DUKW TRIALS" (Portrayal
might have it or be able to get it) published about 5 years ago.
