[MV] Ferret Hydraulic Brakes

I am having a problem with my Ferret's hydraulic brakes. If the vehicle sits
for a few days, the brakes lock up, and the pedal becomes very stiff (with no
play or slack). If I bleed off some fluid from one of the bleeder valves, the
brakes release, but the pedal then goes all the way to the floor. I have
tried to re-bleed the brakes per the manual, but can't get the pedal to firm
up a bit.

A couple of weeks ago I drive it. The brakes were a bit mushy but would hold
with the last 1/4 of pedal travel.

I'm no expert at brakes, and may be bleeding them improperly also.

Some guesses:
1. Need to flush completely with new fluid.
2. Have leak in brake line sucking air (level in resevior stays up)
3. Need to re-build or get new master cylinder (gag!)
Anyone have any ideas?
