> Good Question Steve. With the large numbers of the Dodge/Cummins diesal
engines that have been sold, we will start to see some of them coming up
in salvage yards now and more in the future. Some of them are going to
end up in MV conversions so we might as well start a file and start
discussing them. Is there a Cummins diesal page like the GM 6.2/6.9
diesal page on the net?
I have a buddy who has over 250,000 miles on his Cummins so far and the
only thing he has done is change the oil and filters. He expects to do a
main bearing change as his first major maintenance only when it starts
knocking or hopefully just before. Clearly this is a real fine engine
which would be real nice to put in my M715! I also studied installing a
GM diesal in the M715 and at this point would still consider either one.
I guess it boils down to cost/availability of either.
So to quote Steve Allen: for discussion, will the Dodge/Cummins fit?
