Patrick,

I read with interest your recent post to the mil-veh list. I too am
contemplating installation of a Dodge small block (318 cu in) in my 1953
M37.

The bell housing I have available will require changing the transmission
input shaft. I have available a New Process 4-speed with the longer
input shaft, but I am not sure the xfer case and parking brake levers will
bolt up to this new tranny. If not, I am hoping to swap the input shafts so
I can use the old transmission on the 318 bell housing. Are you familiar
with the New Process 4-speed transmissions?

You say you have already fabricated motor mounts. Did you have to cut
and or weld to the M37 frame? Would you be willing to share the
drawings of the new motor mounts?

Thanks,

Gil Huguley
