Folks,

I apologize if my first posting made it through. Indications on my end
are that it did not.

Anyway, what follows is a notice from my County about a Model 29 Weasel
that is for sale here in Rapid City, South Dakota.

Pennington County, (Rapid City) South Dakota is selling a Model 29
Studebaker Tracked Weasel through the sealed bid process.

This vehicle is titled as a 1946 Model 29 with serial number 1444. The
vehicle has 2473 miles on it. The vehicle is in stock condition with
the exception of an aftermarket alternator, tachometer, and an aluminum
topper. The vehicle is currently painted black and yellow. The drive
tracks are 20 inches across and are in excellent shape. The dataplate
is intact and mounted behind the driver’s seat. The vehicle runs and
can be demonstrated at the bidders request. A complete military parts
manual accompanies the vehicle.

Sealed bids will be received by the Pennington County Auditor on behalf
of the Board of Commissioners for the above referenced item at the
Auditor's Office in the Pennington County Courthouse, 315 St. Joseph
Street, Rapid City, SD 57701 until 1:30 P.M. on Monday, July 28, 1997.

Bids will be passed upon by the Board of Commissioners at their meeting
of August 5, 1997, commencing at 9 a.m. in the Commissioners' meeting
room in the Courthouse Addition.

Copies of the specifications are on file at the Auditor's Office, 315
St. Joseph Street, Rapid City, SD 57701. Additional information and

The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids
and to waive any irregularities and reserves the right to award the bid
