p.s. to those who have been following the mechanical soap opera of
fixing my truck over the last few months.
i'm glad to say that the culprit was the voltage regulator.
after installing a new one along with new plugs,
points,condensor and a rebuilt carb the truck seemed to idle
fine and never lost power on its voyage
around the block. now on to the next problem: no dash lights
and squeeky brakes. thanx y'all.
