Hi everyone!

Has anyone on the list ever replaced the drive gear and shaft on the 230=
cuin tornado OHC engine? Mine has started to miss and has been hard to =
time lately and according to the manual (-34) this means that the gear =
that drives the oil pump and distributor shaft has slipped. If any of =
you have had to replace this part could you tell me if you have to remove=
the timing chain and water pump to get to it or does it simply come out=
the bottom by removing the oil pump.. The manual is not very specific =
about this and I would kind of like to know what I'm getting into before =
I start. Any advice or encouraging words you can offer me would be appre=
ciated.

Thanks,
Jim
