I just bought a 1/2 ton trailer made by Converto Mfg in Sept 1944. The
nameplate says Army Airborne. It is a dump trailer with a tailgate (with
sand hole). Coincidentally, my neighbor has one identical except his is
a little older. They have 2 handles--1 for the dump bed and 1 for the
tailgate. They both look like a normal older jeep trailer except for the
dump feature. Since I live in the mountains, I wanted a military jeep
trailer for my M38A1/CJ5 (kind of a mish mash of both). Does anyone know
anything about these trailers?
