Most people consider the automatic transmission to be the weak link in
the M135/211 truck. If you overload it and give it the gas; the
transmission will shift at a certain RPM of the motor, even if you
haven't started moving yet. Another problem with the auto is that hi/lo
range shifts take place in the tail cone of the transmission not in the
transfer case. If you swap motor and transmission you will be stuck
with one range unless you swap out the transfer case.

Memphis equipment has all the parts you might need. They told me that
they are cutting up all the M135/211's that they get now for parts.
There is also a lot of surplus NOS parts available. I even saw a
complete Canadan rebuilt powerpacks for sale a while back.
