After talking to a vet who recounted the story of how he and some of his
comrades found a warehouse full of nazi armbands and used them for toilet
paper and kleenex, I got a repro swastika flag and use it to check oil and
such at parades and displays where I appear in WWII uniform. At the last
Tulsa Veterans' day parade, I happened to pull this item out next to a float
full of WWII vets. Their attention was caught by the "hated symbol" but they
roared with laughter when I wiped the dipstick with the flag. One guy told me
he had a piece of camo material he cut up to use for rags. I suppose the
purists would object that the flag I use is not original.
