List,
Does anyone on the list have information on the Marine Corps AN/MRC-6
Radio system? I'm trying to complete a frame off restoration of an
M38A1, 1952 radio jeep that the Marine Corps lists as an AN/MRC-6 on
there DD form 314's. Yes! I did get some of the old paper work with this
vehicle. I do know that it was assigned to HQ-3-11, 7th COMM at Camp
Pendleton CA. From what I have gathered so far the 7th COMM group was
quite a large unit, they were out of Oakonowa Japan and had a Detachment
at Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. If anyone can provide more information about the
7th COMM group and the AN/MRC-6 radio system I would be indebted to
them.
Also looking for an almost rust free M38A1 tub (early) for this
project.
