[MV] Replace vs. repair a gas tank

It is true. Repairing and cleaning and old rusty gas tank is a hard
and dirty job. So I would prefer to buy a new or good used one, which
is clean inside. There is only one problem:

I am an engineer and when I work overtime, I get around DM 25,- per
hour after tax (13-14 US-$ at the moment). If I work 16 extra hours
(2 days), I have DM 400,- extra in my wallet (and no free time for weeks
to work on my Kettenkrad).

If anyone on the list has a good Kettenkrad gas tank for sale at this
price, please let me know. I'll buy two.

Note that there are MVs for which it is hard to get parts. When I bought
my 1:1 scale Kettenkrad kit, the righthand gas tank was missing. It took
half a year, DM 400,- and some miles on the raod to meet a man from Poland.
I got a dirty and rusty tank, which had been used as an old oil bucket in a
polish workshop. And I was happy.

Now I have to clean the old dirty tank, even if it is a "job for someone who
has killed his parents" as we say in Germany.

Keep your tanks clean!
Andreas
