Does anyone know the numbers for the front and rear axle bearings (all),
including trunions (sp?)on an M38A1. I am sure NAPA has them but I need the
numbers. The ones in my ord manual do not match anything.
When I tore down my axles to my surprise the bearings were pretty much
disintegrated. I could not beleive the shape that they were in. Was unable
to read the numbers that were on them. Both axles were full of sandy, dirt
filled,
mud like grease. It took an hour, alot of kerosene, and a giant ramrod to
clean them out.
The surprising thing was the vehicle was running and driving with no
apparent trouble. Good old american craftsmanship. Can't beat it.
