Sounds about like twice what it is worth. $4000 should buy a M725 that
runs well, looks pretty good and drives home. It should be a complete
orginal truck. I would deduct for modifications, non mil color, parts
missing etc. A grade one ( show quality, not driven) would be hard to
sell for more than $6000. Of course, like any other motor veh, someone
may eventually come around that will pay whatever he asks.

If you do get it, I wouldn't spend much money on the motor. The tornado
6 is hard to work on and there are a lot of good takeouts around to
replace it with. A lot of people are using 350 chev motor in
715/725's. I even saw a military diesel converson for sale once in
Military Veh Mag.

Other than the motor, the 715 series is a good truck. If you get one
that runs well, it should do fine for a long time as long as you don't
over-rev it.
