Compass fluid can be obtained from just about any General aviation
maintenance shop. or it can be obtained mail order from such places as
Aircraft spruce and specialty 1-800-824-1930 Part no 10-08000, 1/2
pint. It is some type of acid free white kerosene (I think).

I have recently located a NIB Sherrel Compass.. Can the liquid be
added, or is it a lost cause, also what type of liquid is supposed to
be?
