I am new subscriber to list. Found list poking on Web at work on lunch hour.
Hope I am doing this right. Am MVPA member 15725. Most of what I know is from
working on my vehicles and observation, not from extensive reading. Willing to
add my ignorance to anyone else's. I have written articles/letters on M37
interior and tires for Power Wagon Advertiser April and Sept. 1997 issues.
Written articles for Military Vehicles Magazine on 24V to 12V conversion for M37
(July/August 97) Refurbishing your old data plates (Sept/Oct 97) and How to beef
up your springs (Nov/Dec 97). If you have read these articles and are confused
or have more questions I will try to help you. If I don't know I will say so.
I have also written some yet to be published articles for MVM. I drive a 1962
M37B1 with Hercules turbo/intercooled diesel, 4 wheel disk brakes, 12V, electric
wipers, original hard top, PTO winch, 38" tires on original rims and pintle/ball
hitch setup.

I have a 1954 M38A1 for sale. Completely redone from ground up in 1988.
Painted Imron white, bucket seats, converted to 12V with Acme two wall
fibreglass hard top and 25% Warn overdrive and roll bar. My daily driver since
1990 (this vehicle is not a hunting beater but in good shape) but I did not put
in hardened valve seats when I overhauled the engine. Running on unleaded has
eaten the seats. I now have my M37 and my son wants one also when he gets his
license (he is 11). Would be willing to sell as is, with valves fixed or
preferr to trade for decent M37. Also have an untitled M43 ambulance for sale
(my son only wants an M37) and a homemade trailer from the back of an M37. I
live in Waxhaw, N.C. about 45 minutes south of Charlotte N.C. and 1.5 hours
north of Columbia S.C. If interested in vehicles call me in evenings at home
(before 10:00 est your nickle) 704-843-1165. Send tech questions via this foram
for benfit and comment of others.
