Hello Paul,
The trailer socket was standard from MB 158372 (July 1942). If your jeep
is from 1943 it must have this feature. Do you know your serialnumber?
If you do please mail it to me. If you do not have this number please
look for the bodynumber. You can find the bodynumber on the left
bodygusset. You can see this gusset if you look down between the horn
and the carburator.
Early type body (standard, until end 1943) at the left side of left
gusset.
Late type body (composite, from early 1944) at the front side of left
gusset.
If you can find a number I can give you an approximately serialnumber
and D.o.D.
