I finally found the serial number on the frame of my "salad" jeep. It
is <-> 199333 (it has a stamp that looks like a dash with left and
right arrow heads on it just before the 1) .
The frame has the Ford "H" beam front cross brace and not the Willys
round tube frame.
Can anyone identify if it IS a Ford WWII frame or ?????
What did the CJ2 frame look like?
Does my serial number make sense? I used a drop light at a variety of
angles to read the numbers. I feel confident I've read them correctly.
The tube is a supposedly US Army NOS body, but the shop put on repro
Willys dash plates with no numbers. The tub has the notch in the
center dash and was assembled in 1989. Real, Hotchkiss or Philippine I
still have yet to determine.
Any help would be appreciated.
