Hey, I saw something mentioned about air filters. I was looking to change
the filter media in my factory air cleaner while my L-134 was in the machine
shop. I was saving big bucks to give to my machinist and also heard that the
steel gauze/oil bath filtering was sorta inefficient. I measured the interior
cylindrical dimensions of the stock housing, and called K & N. They really
didn't have a great fit. Shortly thereafter, a Fram air filter for a 1996
Ford Mustang (V-8, I think) came through the parts department I worked for and
I opened the box. I ended up reducing the diameter on the circular sealing
portion by about 1.5 " and reducing the height of the plastic "nosecone" part,
not a very long process, and it fits in the cleaner housing beautifully !!
Much better protection, very inexpensive, and an invisible modification. Hope
this helps someone else out !!!! Take care.
