There is a line, however tenuous, connecting the first Bantam prototype
with the latest Toyota Landcruiser. All we seem to be discussing is
where along that line you should stop using the term jeep. I'd guess
that nearly every contributor would have a different cut-off point, and
repectfully point out that the subject is almost in danger of being
over-discussed. 8-) It would seem inappropriate to use the term for
modern 4WD (trademarks excepted) Japanese products, British Land Rovers
or Champs. Gordon
